my design philosophy

The more I learn about design, the more I realised that products and experiences are more than just the look, touch, and aesthetic of something. It's about how they make you feel. It's a talking point. Something you want to share with others.

Being taught a 'design thinking' approach has forced me to ask the 'why' in everything. 'Why are things the way they are?' and as a result I think I am more aware of what good and bad design means. What makes a memorable product and what makes something forgettable.

The 'goodness' in design comes from this understanding and empathy towards the people in the centre of it all. The reason we do what we do - Our User.

I'm an enthusiastic Industrial Designer, and having the ability and opportunity to make a positive change in people's lives is something that
excites me. User Centred Design, Human Factors and Design Research are my key interests both personally and as part of my career development.
